Slope Maintenance

Summary Maintains and repairs equipment used by the Mountain Crew by performing the following duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Performs maintenance and repairs of snowmobiles, four wheelers, cars and light trucks, diesel engines, hydraulic and hydrostatic drive systems on snow grooming equipment, gas engines and tracked vehicles and pumps and general maintenance on electrical and diesel air compressors. Operates, monitors and fuels air compressors. maintains cleanliness of equipment and shop. Operates equipment,usually 4x4's, while performing essential duties such as transportation to and from repair sites. Secondary Responsibilities Assists the snowmakers. Keeps records of maintenance, repairs and inventories. Education and/or Experience One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Language Skills Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Reasoning Ability Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Computer Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Inventory software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Valid Pennsylvania Drivers License with good driving history. Mechanical certifications a plus. Other Qualifications Overtime required during winter ski season.
