Summary Brews coffee, tea, and chocolate using coffee urns, drip or vacuum coffee makers, teapots, drink mixers, and other kitchen equipment by performing the following duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Prepares specialized coffee drinks, such as caffe latte or cappuccino, by brewing espresso and steaming milk. Assists in filling customers' orders for pastries and Ice Cream. Cleans and polishes utensils and equipment used in food and beverage preparation. Serves coffee, tea, and water. Prepares and issues or serves iced beverages such as coffee, tea, and or bottled drinks. Supervisory Responsibilities This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Education and/or Experience Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Language Skills Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Computer Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Inventory software.
