Spa - Nail Technician - Seasonal

Summary: To perform the duties of a Nail Technician one must hold and maintain a current state license. The Nail Technician will provide professional nail, hand and foot treatments. Must posses a knowledge of nails including a basic knowledge of hand and foot massage techniques and a clean application of polish. Must possess excellence service of cleanliness and sanitation skills and be willing to train in spa specific nail service offered by Seven Springs Spa. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Be prompt with each appointment and perform the guest with services within the appropriate time allotted for the service. Provide reliable professional nail, hand and foot treatments in accordance with Seven Springs Spa and accepted certification practices. Flexibility with schedule and to provide staff support to the spa. Provide proper care for equipment and use proper amounts of product to assist with cost control. Knowledge and understanding of all services and products we provide with educating and training in these areas. Promote home care programs to meet minimum retail sales goals. Sustain the standards of sanitation and sterilization as directed by law and Seven Springs Spa policies. Accomplish prep work and properly clean and restock work area as required. Converse to management all occurrences involving staff or guests in the spa that require attention. Enthusiastically promote the spa, treatments, services, sessions and retail, as well as programs and/or discounts available. Takes guests questions and concerns professionally and courteously and handles in a professional matter to ensure guest satisfaction. Ability to work without direct supervision. Must be able to keep a positive attitude and contribute towards a positive work environment. Attend and participate in support training and staff meeting for the spa regularly. Provide assistance in all areas of the spa operations as requested by management. Practices strict universal precautions such as hand washing, proper dispensing of products sterilization of equipment Maintains flexible attitude with room environment, table height, size of treatment room Uses complete coverage with proper drapping techniques. Adapts to appropriate guest requests. Such requsts may include comfort measures (climate control, extra pillow for chest, extra blanket, pressure adjustments) and customization of treatment according to guest's request or recognizing a guest's special celebration. Initiates each guest's appointment with escorting assigned guest to treatment room, providing disrobing instructions and reviewing guest information privately ( When Feasible). Assures guest privacy by being absent during disrobing and assisting with robes and proper coverage when guest is in more public areas. Keeps up-to date with product knowledge, treatment updates, policiies and prcedures, specials, resort news and services on menu. Educates guest on general well-being and /or skin care to enhance their home regimen of self-care. Document every guest visit with Guest Information release form and protect guest confidential information. Assist with keeping clean linen stocked and bagging/transport of soiled lines. Presents to work in a professional manner with adheres to the dress code and grooming policies. Complies with all safety and health requirements of state and federal regulations. Assists with retail displays and merchandising as requested Consistently offer/suggests retail products and services that seem to match with guest needs and requests. Assure loss prevention internally and externally by locking cabinets as directed, measuring products carefully, keeping alert of retail and notifying management of internal theft.
